How to Read a Product Specification

A product specification is useful when it separates confirmed facts from assumptions. Start with identity, then move through format, stated quantity or concentration, storage information and traceability.

1. Confirm identity and format

The title should distinguish the product record without relying on broad marketing language. Format belongs beside the identity because it changes the documentation needed.

2. Read numbers in context

A quantity or concentration should be tied to a clearly identified unit and presentation. Do not infer container volume, serving information or directions when they are absent.

3. Look for record fields

Batch reference, relevant dates, storage instructions and source documentation should be easy to locate. A blank field is more honest than an invented answer.
